Guided by more than 100,000 foot scans from our RETÜL fit data, we recognized that both a standard and a wide carbon base plate would best serve the spectrum of human foot shapes. An internal I-Beam adds stiffness and strength, eliminating the need for additional bracing. The result is an intentional fit, that's stiff, comfortable, and tunable—to put the power down.

Comfort: The S-Works Torch Lace utilizes our new forefoot shape - 4mm wider than the S-Works 7 - based on extensive 3D foot scans and Retül data. The upper features remapped zonal layering throughout. It remains incredibly supple to adapt to different foot shapes, yet won’t stretch over a long day in the saddle to ensure a secure, consistent fit. An asymmetric heel counter reduces hard touch points against the ankle, and still delivers knee stability validated by our Human Performance team.

Efficiency: Every Body Geometry shoe optimizes ankle, knee, and hip alignment for a stable and pedal stroke with our patented Varus Wedge, a 1.5mm outward tilt to the outsole. Thanks to the light weight retention of laces and watching every gram - from the carbon outsole to the upper material - the S-Works Torch Lace weigh a feathery 200 grams in size 42. Leveraging data science, we refined every detail of the S-Works Torch’s upper for improved fit and performance. The BOA® cable is shifted down and angled, preventing lift on the ball of the foot and delivering power-enhancing structure while eliminating unwanted pressure or pinching. Adaptive materials allow natural movement of the foot where needed for comfort, while data-driven zonal reinforcement keeps the foot secured for crisp power delivery and optimal efficiency.

The sole utilizes a rubber toe and heel for superior off-the-bike traction, while the pontoons are made of a harder TPU to provide excellent stability and power transfer to the pedal. We took a no-holds-barred approach to transferring every bit of your power to the pedals. The lighter and stiffer Powerline™ carbon sole is new and brought to you by the same team that developed Rider-First Engineering. Why's this special? Because it led to our lightest and stiffest carbon outsole to date. A completely refined Padlock™ Heel, meanwhile, packs in more comfort with the same exceptional heel hold that you found in the previous iteration. And finally, the space-grade Dyneema™ material used in the upper doesn’t stretch when pulled on, making sure that your foot stays where it’s supposed to. With these all features combined, you can be sure that we’ve kept in line with the motto “every watt is sacred.”

In the comfort arena, we kept all of the Body Geometry features you know and love, like the Longitudinal Arch, Varus Wedge, and Metatarsal Button. Each one of these features have been ergonomically designed and scientifically tested to not only boost power, but also to increase efficiency and reduce the risk of injury. We also took luxury into account by designing the S-Works 7 to have form that complements its function, so you'll find seams that are bonded together, rather than sewn, cleaning up the lines and contouring to your foot with slipper-like comfort. The custom CNC’d alloy Boa® dials also add some panache, but they also feature durable spring clutch internals and precise, one-millimeter micro-adjustments that let you perfectly dial in your fit.

The S-Works EXOS EVO is the lightest off-road shoe we’ve ever created. Our world-class design team developed a proprietary Dyneema® layup that drastically lowered the weight of the upper while simultaneously maximizing strength and increasing pliancy to create a 232g featherweight racing shoe for all terrain, with none of the weight.

To secure the foot we’ve used the newly released BOA®Li2 dial, featuring an increased level of micro-adjustment, a lower profile, and a refined ergonomic design to give riders the ability to precisely tune their fit. We’ve paired this precision fit with a reimagined toe box, which uses a sleeve that stretches comfortably over the top of the toes and forefoot while maintaining room for movement and flexion.

The S-Works EXOS EVO also features the XC FACT carbon sole. Our stiffest and lightest off-road plate to date, the XC FACT sole has a stiffness index of 13.0. For power transfer, our PadLock™ heel construction cradles the heel to ensure optimal power transfer. In fact, it’s been scientifically-proven to improve acceleration.
