• The Vented Mouthport toe box pulls air in through the front of the shoe and channels it around your feet, while the entire-new, engineered mesh upper and tongue let that air flow freely throughout the shoe—aiding in both cooling and sweat evaporation. Along with the engineered mesh in the upper, we added a layer of Dyneema® Mesh to keep strong-hold of your foot, ensuring pro-proven power transfer.
• We have utilized the same 66-gram FACT Powerline™ carbon outsole found in our EXOS line. With its mesh-covered ventilation holes, the sole furthers the shoe’s cooling properties, all while dropping weight to 233 grams (1/2 pair, Size 42).
• For power transfer, our PadLock™ heel construction cradles the heel to ensure optimal power transfer. In fact, it’s been scientifically-proven to improve acceleration. We designed an open suspender fit and bib construction that's engineered to keep the shorts up and in-place without constricting the upper body. The stretchy elastic suspenders are uber plush and soft against the skin, and accommodate taller torso lengths with ease. Silicone-infused fabric cuffs, meanwhile, provide a gentle, secure hold on the legs in order to ensure the perfect, shift-free fit.

From the outset of the Torch 3.0 Road shoe design process, our goal was to create a performance offering as feature-packed as any top-end shoe. The challenge, however, was pulling this off at a palatable price.

In order to achieve this, we utilized three strategically placed materials on the uppers that are welded together—TPU and mesh in the front and synthetic leather in the rear. This makes for a more comfortable and supportive front of the shoe. A stiff rear and heel cup, meanwhile, lock down your heel and keep all of your watts going into the pedals as efficiently as possible. This refined upper is combined with our legendary FACT carbon fiber sole to further ensure an efficient power transfer. Finally, we topped the Torch 3.0 off with two Boa® S2-SV Snap dials for zonal closure, and a precise fit that leads to all-day comfort.

Carbon Plate: The Torch 3.0 features a lightweight, unidirectional carbon plate that enables balanced stiffness throughout the shoe, all while using less material, thus saving weight and ensuring efficient power transfer, mirroring its S-Works counterpart. Additionally, large rubber grips on the outsole of the toe and heel provide a stable, grippy platform for a seamless transition when pushing off the pavement to clip in or coming to a stop at a traffic light.
